Boston Celtics beat the Nets for a first win in nearly three weeks

The Celtics won for the third time in four games and extended their winning streak to six games.

The Nets jumped out to a 10-point lead at the start of the third quarter, but the Celtics took advantage of the Nets lack of energy and started the fourth quarter outscoring the Nets 37-19.

The Boston Celtics are 6-0 against Brooklyn since the start (5-0) of the 2017-18 season.

Boston won its first game of the season against Philadelphia on Nov. 5 and is 4-0 in Brooklyn.

The New York Knicks and New Jersey Nets have combined for 13 losses this season.

Brooklyn is 3-2 in its last five matchups with the Celtics.

The NBA’s playoff race is heating up as the Brooklyn Nets face the Brooklyn Bulls and the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Knicks are 5-2 against the Brooklyn Celtics.
